History in the making
When Clinton, Charles and Mcmillan formed UrbanBiz, they had big ideas.
Its creation in 2005 responded to a real need in the Bradford area. Initially established to address the challenges faced by unemployed people from the Black African and Caribbean community and to support them in finding sustainable employment, UrbanBiz has gone from strength to strength. It is now an award winning social business working within the Yorkshire and Humber region delivering employment, enterprise, training and research services to people from all disadvantaged communities.
And the rest is history. Well not quite…
UrbanBiz has brought together a dynamic team of individuals from the private, public and voluntary sector that are committed in reshaping the future for disadvantaged groups by offering services that focus on local engagement. The combined expertise within our team puts us in a great position to deliver innovative and demand led services with the interest of the regions communities at the fore front of what we do.
We are a diverse and ambitious organisation and we continuously strive for bigger and better things. We want a larger workforce and a greater presence in our region, a national and even international brand name. Our drive to achieve and innovative way of thinking make us the unique and successful social business we are today.
In order to achieve our goals we are building a sound and solid business, forming partnerships with the many supporters of our core values. We are constantly developing and improving our services. We pioneer and push the boundaries. We break down the barriers and inspire – to give our clients the opportunity to make their future a better one.
