In 2006, UrbanBiz picked up the Social Enterprise ‘Start up of the Year’ Award. The Social Enterprise Awards is a competition that aims to recognise and champion the vital work carried out by the most successful social enterprises in the UK.

Most Successful Provider – UK Fair Cities Pilot Programme 2007
Fair Cities was a three year employer led pilot programme that helped disadvantaged ethnic minority residents to gain steady work and new careers. There were three pilot sites in operation, located in Birmingham, Brent and Bradford. In 2007, UrbanBiz won the Most Successful Provider in the UK Fair Cities Pilot Programme.
